The Kaluga Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) is a regional development of the system of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation. The KCCI was founded in 1992. The Kaluga CCI represents 300 enterprises and organizations.
The major tasks of the KCCI are:
Representing the interests of entrepreneurs of the Kaluga region in their relations with the authorities;
Creating conditions required for the establishment of socially-oriented infrastructure of entrepreneurship;
Providing assistance in the establishment of legislative environment and entrepreneurial infrastructure.
Another top-priority activity of the KCCI is providing practical aid to businessmen in their establishing business contacts with foreign partners. The Chamber thus substantially contributes to the development of Russia's exports, the attraction of foreign investments into the regional economy.
At round-tables of the KCCI businessmen consider the urgent problems of industrial development and the aspects of interaction between business and state authorities thus contributing to this dialogue. The KCCI carries out the examination of bills, develops and submits for consideration proposals.
The major goals and areas of the activity of the Kaluga Chamber of Commerce and Industry are as follows:
protecting interests of KCCI member-enterprises;
creating an efficient system of independent expert assessment of draft statutory and regulatory acts touching upon the interests of entrepreneurs and chambers of commerce and industry;
upholding of entrepreneurs' interests in the process of Russia's preparing to and joining the World Trade Organization;
active involvement in drafting key legislative and other regulatory acts concerning social and economic development of the state;
active role in supporting and protecting interests of business associations, small businesses, individual entrepreneurs at the executive, legislative and judicial level;
extended range of the services offered by the chamber, their high quality and availability for businesses.
